Smart Car Handbrake Will Not Hold

Smart car handbrakes have a common problem where the ratchet mechanism wears on the inside of the sealed mechanism. Unfortunately has to be replaced as a whole unit, so remove drivers seat and seat belt, be careful to detach S.R.S wiring under seat, and pull back carpet, pull away wiring from its secure holders to then be able to remove handbrake securing male type star bolts and lift lever out and replace and rebuild, Easy….
